Synthetic biology is a transformative innovation that will make it possible to build living machines from off-the-shelf chemical ingredients. Among the potential applications of this new field is the creation of microorganisms that can detect toxic chemicals and destroy cancer cells. 

Proposed ideas of genetic modification have sparked conversations about morality issues and transhumanism. The line between organic and inorganic is becoming increasingly blurred. Three booklets were designed to represent synthetic life, organic life, and the convergence of the two.
